And the 2026 CBS Best Paper Prize Goes to....
Recent PhD graduate, Dr. Charlotte Ward
We are pleased to announce one of the recipients of the University of Guelph’s 2026 College of Biological Sciences (CBS) Graduate Student Best Paper Prize as one of our own, Dr. Charlotte Ward. Now in its seventh year, this annual award recognizes three graduate students within CBS who have published exceptional peer-reviewed research.
Congratulations to recent PhD graduate Dr. Ward, whose paper, "Global change asymmetrically rewires ecosystems," published in Ecology Letters, was selected as one of the top three within CBS. This work makes an important contribution to our understanding of how global environmental change reshapes ecological interactions and ecosystem structure.
